Alice Bruce

Alice BruceAlice studied English at the University of Kent, and was a member of Nick and Grace's 18-25 group during her student years.

Upon graduating Alice joined Youth With A Mission. (In fact Alice was one of the first 18-25 “missionaries” to be sent out and be regularly supported by the 18-25 group in future years). She worked in YWAM for six years. She spent the first three years working on Discipleship Training Schools, and led outreach teams in Spain, Albania, India and China during this time.

After leaving YWAM Alice worked at a University in Bath with international students for two years and then worked full time as Youth Co-ordinator for her local Anglican church for 5 years before marrying Dave Bruce in April 2006 and moved to Cheltenham, from where she completed a Theology degree at Trinity College, Bristol in June 2006. Since September 2006 Alice has been working as part of the leadership team of St Mark Church, West Cheltenham. Her role at St Mark focuses particularly on discipleship training and equipping a diverse church to reach a diverse community in West Cheltenham. (Not all of Cheltenham is Georgian houses and spas!) Alice and Dave have two children, Joshua who was born in the autumn of 2007 and Eleanor who was born in the spring of 2009, so Alice's biggest role right now is as a mum to them.

At the end of 2009, Alice's husband Dave was accepted to train to be an Anglican vicar, so they are currently looking at where to move during Dave's training and exploring working in ministry together in the future.
