Andy & Suzie Hart
Andy & Suzie Hart are CMS missionaries working in Iringa, Tanzania. Andy is a vet, helping and enabling farmers with their livestock, and Suzie works with the disabled, seeking to give them employment and hope in a society where the disabled are marginalised. They have two daughters, Grace and Rosie. The link with Firelighters comes from two things:
- Suzie's connection with Nick & Grace during her time living in Canterbury and attending 18-25s.
- Firelighters asked Robin Hood Ministries (see Projects) to adopt Neema Crafts as one of its projects.
They write:
Praise God for his blessings! Neema Crafts Centre in Iringa now has 103 deaf and disabled people working there. Disabled people who 6 years ago lived in absolute poverty now own their own land and home! We also now see regularly over 100 disabled children for physiotherapy at the centre. We are now combining our work, both taking roles at Neema Crafts while Andy still fits in some village work equipping church women's groups with the knowledge to teach safe water using the SODIS method and at the same time share the Gospel with a short presentation based on the theme of Jesus as 'Water of Life'.
