Dan & Abi Northover
Dan and Abi met a few years ago whilst leading a Youth Alpha course in Bath. Since then they have been involved with a number of different projects and organisations. They got married in March '08 and are looking to what God has in store for them.
Abi decided at a young age that she wanted to go around the world with Jesus, however, Dan only developed a passion for world mission after spending a gap year in Mukaa, Kenya with AIM International in 2006. He worked as a volunteer Maths teacher at a secondary school, and worked with the chaplain doing evangelism and pastoral work. With the rest of his time living and working at a children's home, painting murals, and speaking in local churches. Having seen the fruit of the work of missionaries over hundreds of years and visited unreached people groups Dan has felt strongly called to international mission in the long term.
Abi has travelled all over the world with her parents, and she did a summer trip to Albania in 2004, and in 2007 she went to Africa with AIM where she worked at a children's home in Cape Town, South Africa for 3 months pastoring, teaching and caring for the children. Since marrying she has worked as a nanny near Durham and is involved with their local Church.
Living in Durham they have found there are a great variety of opportunities to reach out to students and the local community with a very active church. These vary from After Dinner port and cheese events to gardening projects. They are looking to the future and seeking God's plan and direction for their lives.
